US Stock Futures Edge Higher Ahead Of Citigroup Earnings

Pre-open movers US stock futures are higher this morning. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 77 points to 12,506.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 8.30 points to 1,323.30. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 20 points to 2,544.00.

A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index rose 0.22%, London's FTSE 100 Index gained 0.14%, French CAC 40 index rose 0.63% and German DAX 30 index climbed 0.76%.

Asian markets ended higher, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average rising 0.74%, Chinese Shanghai Composite gaining 1.20% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 rising 1.16%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index rose 1.35% and India's Sensex rose 0.05%.

Broker Recommendation Analysts at Citigroup upgraded ConocoPhillips (NYSE: COP) from “neutral” to “buy.” The target price for ConocoPhillips has been raised from $64.80 to $67.

ConocoPhillips shares fell 0.06% to close at $52.11 on Friday.
