A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts

Pre-open movers US stock futures are lower this morning. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average tumbled 85 points to 12,483.00 and S&P 500 index futures fell 10.30 points to 1,316.50. Nasdaq 100 futures dropped 16 points to 2,557.50.

A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were lower today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index fell 1.05%, London's FTSE 100 Index dropped 0.63%, French CAC 40 index fell 1.74% and German DAX 30 index declined 1.58%.

Asian markets ended lower, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average falling 0.72%, China's Shanghai Composite dropping 1.63% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 dropping 0.53%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index declined 0.51% and India's Sensex fell 0.53%.

Broker Recommendation Analysts at Deutsche Bank downgraded AutoNation (NYSE: AN) from “hold” to “sell.” The target price for AutoNation has been lowered from $29 to $24.

AutoNation shares dropped 0.22% to close at $35.87 on Friday.
